It’s time to elect people who will work on our behalf.

As we approach an important election in November, we urge leaders in parks all over Polk County to help "register" new voters in their parks and then organize all the registered voters making sure they are well informed about the candidates who could truly make a difference in Tallahassee and would REALLY advocate for the needs of our friends and neighbors.

So many Americans 50-plus are struggling to get by, and too many politicians aren’t listening. But don’t worry, Frederick: Our votes decide elections; so if candidates want to win this November, they NEED TO care about our daily struggles.

That’s why we’re gathering and amplifying the stories of everyday people 50-plus. Since our votes win elections, our issues are WINNING issues. We’ll uplift your stories online — including on the AARP website and on social media — so that candidates see what it's like to live in OUR shoes.
